Acespike is an orientation defined as someone who usually feels little to no sexual attraction, but occasionally has rare, sudden, and intense spikes of sexual attraction for a short amount of time, before returning, just as suddenly, to one's normal amounts of Asexuality.
Acespike can be a sexual orientation on its own or can combined with other orientations. For example, one could be Acespike and Gay, meaning that when one does experience sexual attraction it's only towards people of the same/similar gender.
It is an orientation on the Ace Spectrum, and more broadly, the A-Spectrum.

The creator of the Acespike flag has been credited to Cyzu of tumblr blog Pride-Flags-For-Us,[2] but the blog has since been privated or deactivated. The flag was possibly created on or before August 10, 2015.
Some other alternate flags were designed based on the original by Deviantart user Pride-Flags. The two flags Pride-Flags made were posted on Deviantart on August 17, 2015,[3][4] along with one made by tumblr blog Pride-Flags-For-Us.[5] The third was possibly made by an Anonymous person and was submitted via Pride-Flags-For-Us.[6]
A redesigned alternate Acespike flag was created by tumblr user I-Love-My-Trans-Body alongside an Arospike and an Aroacespike flag on February 2, 2020.[7] Tumblr user Whimsy-Flags made a redesign of I-Love-My-Trans-Body's design shortly after, on March 20, 2020.[8]
