History
The term started becoming popular after 1984, according to Merriam-Webster, but The New Partridge Dictionary of Slang and Unconventional English and Oxford Dictionaries’ Lexico claim that the term was coined in 1990.[1]
Flags
The flag for bicurious was made by Arco-Pluris on wikimedia on July 5th, 2018. Pink represents bicurious [./https://lgbta.wikia.org/wiki/Lesbian lesbians] and [./https://lgbta.wikia.org/wiki/Gay gays], blue is for bicurious [./https://lgbta.wikia.org/wiki/Straight straights], and the white is for being unsure/questioning. The colors meaning are the same of the bisexual flag, pink represents homosexuals and blue heterosexuals. The flag has no purple in the middle as bicurious people are not necessarily bisexual. White is for doubting or questioning and light stripes is for slight feelings and shared experiences.[2]
On May 16 of 2021, FANDOM user Uncertified Funny designed two alternate bicurious flags. One is Arco-Pluris's flag with equally-sized stripes and the other is a five-striped version of the flag.
