Ceteroplatonic (also known as Allotropoplatonic, Enbyplatonic, or Idemoplatonic, previously known as Skolioplatonic), is a platonic orientation referring to someone who is exclusively attracted to non-binary or genderqueer people. [1]

History/Controversy

Skolioplatonic was the previous term for ceteroplatonic. The term became controversial, due to "Skolio-" translating to either "bent", or "crooked". Adding on, the previous term meant being attracted to "non-binary and transgender people".

Alternatives/Usage

Ceteroplatonic is known as the replacement term for Skolioplatonic. It only refers to attraction to non-binary/genderqueer people, which makes it seems transphobic, still.

It is currently unknown of who made the term Ceteroplatonic to replace Skolioplatonic. Some people think only Non-Binary or Genderqueer people should identify as Ceteroplatonic, while others believe it is for any gender. Additionally , Some agree that it still looks transphobic since it excludes trans people due to the name and orientation.

Flag

The first Ceteroplatonic flag was created on June 23, 2021 by FANDOM user A Confused German [2].
The yellow stripe represents being non-binary or being attracted to non-binary people. Green represents bigender, third gender, genderfluid, and other genders. White and black represents neutral genders like Agender, people questioning their gender identity, and Genderlessness. Pink and Orange Represent the Platonic Attraction.

Etymology

The prefix cetero- means other.

The sexual counterpart to ceteroplatonic is ceterosexual. The romantic counterpart is ceteroromantic.
