Etymology
Diamoric comes from the Greek prefix Dia- meaning "passing through" or "going apart" and the Latin word amor, meaning "love".
Diamoric was originally called Dionysian, from Dionysus who was historically associated with gender variance. It was then renamed (and changed from a flag featuring grapes) due to Dionysus being the God of wine and being associated with alcohol, violence, and sex making people uncomfortable.

Flags
The main Diamoric flag was created by tumblr blog DionysianSuggestion between June 13-16, 2016.[2] It was created alongside 3 other flags of different colors, the one that caught on was the light green one. The green stripes on the top and bottom represents Nonbinary people. In the middle it has a white stripe to match the Achillean and Sapphic flags, with a purple myrtle in the center. Myrtles were said to be sacred to Aphrodit(e/us) and Adonis, whose relationship may be said to be Diamoric.
