This identity is not widely known or used, but has had a small amount of controversy surrounding it. Some believe that the term may have been coined by somebody trying to troll the LGBTA Wiki, citing both the trollface on the flag,[4] and that the creator of the term has not made any contribution to the Wiki since creating and defending this term's page.[5] The creator argued against the trollface on the flag being an indication of a troll label by pointing out that the trollface is a common symbol in online ironic comedy.[6]
