Linguic (pronounced Lin-gwic) is a fluid gender in which one’s gender changes when speaking/reading different languages. For example, one might feel masculine when speaking German, and non-binary while speaking English. One must be multilingual to use this label.

History

Linguic was coined by FANDOM user SereiSys on July 13, 2021.[1]

Flag

The original Linguic Flag was created on July 13, 2021 by FANDOM user Nuetgu9j5hu5h.[2] Brown stands for knowing multiple languages, green stands for gender changing due to speaking, amethyst stands for gender changing due to reading, and teal stands for the unique characteristics of each language.

The most recent linguic flag was designed by FANDOM user IMakeFlags on July 30 of 2021. [3]
