Alternate nostalgiagender flag by ElderflowerJuice
Nostalgiagender is a xenogender that is strongly connected to the feelings of nostalgia and homesickness. It encompasses several aspects related to these feelings:
- nostalgia for something one never experienced themselves
- yearning for times like the past/for "the good old times" (even if they never happened)
- homesickness ("home" not having to be an actual place in this case, but also a feeling or something else entirely)
History
The term was coined on August 8th, 2021 by Twitter user TurtRose[1].
Flag
The flag was created in the same post the term was coined in by TurtRose[1]. Its stripes have the following meaning:
- red - cheerfulness/energy
- yellow - hot summer days
- green - friendship
- sky blue - nostalgia
- black - homesickness
Another nostalgiagender flag was made by ElderflowerJuice on August 12th, 2021.[2] The colors represent nir nostalgia.
