Sopaipilla is a spanish word used in Chile with a variety of meanings. One of them to refer to lesbians. [1]
Pronunciation
"Soh-pah-ee-pee-yah".
Etymology
The word sopaipilla is originally used to describe a type of quick bread eaten in Chile. It's eaten fried and as such it's made a semantic jump from the dish to homosexual women just like arepera, tortillera or croqueta in other Spanish speaking countries. [1]
