The topic of whether its acceptable to consider oneself not attracted to transgender people is a source of discussion in the community. It is largely considered transphobic to not be attracted to trans people. The reasoning being that transgender people are very varied, and lumping them into a singular group.
Various people have voiced concerns about a term directly based on superstraight, or about how not wanting to date someone with a certain genital can easily become transphobic. On the LGBTA Wiki, at least one concerned comment about this was deleted.
